How To Play Powerball And Strike Lotto NZ?

First, you need to play the lotto first to play Powerball and Strike. Lotto can be just Lotto, Lotto and Powerball, Lotto and Strike, or all three games together.

Adding Strike To Your Lotto Ticket

Match any of the first four Lotto balls in the order that they’re drawn to win with Strike – match all four and you’ve won the top prize, Strike Four! The winning numbers must be on the same line as your ticket. You can add Strike to any Lotto or Powerball ticket or play on its own for just $1 per line.

Remember, Strike is an add-on to the game, which means you need to play Lotto first. Like Lotto, you can either pick your own numbers using the ticket builder, or you can play a Dip. You can play as few as one line or as many as 20 lines of Strike!

Adding Powerball To Your Lotto Ticket

Add a Powerball to any Lotto line to be in to win the big Powerball jackpot. To play Powerball, you need to add a Powerball number between 1 and 10 to each line of your Lotto ticket. If a winning Lotto line also has the correct Powerball number, your prize gets even bigger.

The aim of Powerball is to select the correct Powerball number that is drawn. You need to play Lotto in order to play Powerball. Powerball has its own numbers and a separate draw, which happens immediately after the Lotto draw.

Looking at your ticket, the Powerball number sits at the end of the Lotto line in its own special ‘Powerball’ column. You can choose to have the same Powerball number for all of your Lotto lines or mix it up. You can pick your Powerball number(s) yourself or get a random selection. The choice is yours!

To play just Lotto, choose a Lucky Dip. There are four Lucky Dips priced from $4.80 (8 lines of Lotto) to $12 (20 lines of Lotto).

To play Lotto and Powerball, choose a Power Dip. There are four Power Dips priced from $9.60 (8 lines of Lotto and 8 lines of Powerball) to $24 (20 lines of Lotto and 20 lines of Powerball).

To play Lotto, Powerball, and Strike, choose a Triple Dip. There are four Triple Dips priced from $14 (10 lines of Lotto, 10 lines of Powerball, and 2 lines of Strike) to $26 (20 lines of Lotto, 20 lines of Powerball, and 2 lines of Strike).

2. Pick Your Own Numbers:

3. Create Favourite

When you buy a ticket, you’ll have the option to save it as a Favourite. You can also save any active tickets as Favourite or when buying a ticket online or with an app use the given button to create a Favourite without buying a ticket.

How Much Is New Zealand Lotto?

Lotto costs 60 cents per line. If you’re picking your own numbers, you must choose a minimum of four lines, which will cost you $2.40. You can also play Dips, which range from $4.80 to $12 for Lotto.

Strike costs $1 per line. You can add 1 to 20 lines of Strike to your Lotto ticket.

The Jackpots To Win

• The Lotto First Division prize is $1 million for every draw. If more than one person wins, then the prize is shared equally amongst the winners.
• The Powerball jackpot starts at $4 million and increases with each draw until it’s won or until it reaches $50 million when a Must Be Won draw will be called.
• Like Lotto, if more than one person wins the Powerball First Division, the prize is shared equally amongst the winners.
• The Strike Four jackpot starts at $100,000 and grows each draw until it’s won or it reaches $700,000 when a Must Be Won draw will be called. If more than one person wins Strike Four, the prize is shared equally between the winners.

When Is The Draw?

Lotto is drawn at approximately 8.20 pm every Wednesday and at 8 pm every Saturday. The draw is broadcast live on TV1 and will also be available on TVNZ OnDemand shortly afterward. Also, check results online that are available from 9.15 pm
