How many of you still remember Motorola Razr? The Motorola Razr was a series of mobile phones by Motorola which were a part of the 4LTR line. The V3 was the first phone released in the series and was introduced in July 2004. This model was followed soon thereafter by the much improved V3i with a collaboration with Apple Inc. for iTunes to be built-in.
Because of its striking appearance and thin profile, it was initially marketed as an exclusive fashion phone,] but within a year, its price was lowered and it was wildly successful, selling over 50 million units by July 2006. Over the Razr’s four-year run, the V3 model sold more than 130 million units, becoming the best-selling clamshell phone in the world to date.
The Razr series was marketed until July 2007, when the succeeding Motorola Razr2 series was released. The new models were the V8, the V9, and the V9m.However, Razr2 sales were not as good as the original, with consumers moving to competing products. In October 2011, Motorola resurrected the Razr brand for a line of Android smartphoness: the Droid Razr and an improved variant, the Droid Razr Maxx. The new “Razr” line shares the trademark thinness and stylized tapered corners with the original.

However, it might also be a costly mobile According to a Wall St Journal report, tech company Lenovo and Verizon have teamed up to create a modern version of the much-loved mobile. Complete with foldable display, the new model is reported to cost about NZD$2,200.
It won’t be easy to get your hands on one of these nostalgic designs either – only about 200,000 units of the new and improved Razr are going to be made. Details on the design have been kept under wraps, because the phone is yet to be officially announced. However, it’s reported the phone will have a display that bends in the middle with a hinge, allowing it to close.
