Most banks will already have “MyLotto (Online Top-Up)” loaded as a registered payee in their Bill Payment setup sections.

Be careful not to select “Lotto (Retailer payments only)” if it comes up in your search – this could delay the funds showing in your MyLotto account.

If you can’t find the existing “MyLotto (Online Top-Up)” registered payee on your Internet banking website or app, you will need to set up a bill payment yourself using MyLotto’s bank account number, which is: 03 0502 0854794 04

You must also complete the following fields:

  • ‘Particulars’: You are not required to fill out this field
  • ‘Code’: Your surname (this is restricted to 12 characters)
  • ‘Reference’: Enter your 10-digit MyLotto customer number. For example 10xxxxxxxx – to find this, select ‘Top Up’ and then ‘Top up: internet banking’. Your 10-digit MyLotto customer number is found in bold.

Can lotto tickets, once purchased, be cancelled?

Tickets bought in the app or online cannot be cancelled once the purchase has been confirmed.

However, we ensure that you have the chance to check whether you’re happy with your purchase before you click ‘Buy Now.’

You can cancel in-store tickets as long as they are on the same day, at the same store, and before the draw in-store tickets as long as they are.

Can my Lotto NZ ticket be checked for a prize at the lottery store?

No, you cannot. While you can print your MyLotto tickets for your records, you cannot check them at a retail Lotto store.

Of course, it’s easy to check your ticket online after the draw has taken place – you can even watch an animated draw that checks the numbers on your ticket as the balls are drawn.

MyLotto will automatically check all tickets overnight following the draw and let you know via your account if you have won any prizes.

Can I Play Combo Tickets online?

Combo tickets in their usual form aren’t available to purchase on MyLotto due to the potential cost of Combo tickets being outside MyLotto’s spending limits of $150/week and $500/month. For this reason, it’s not possible to play Combo 9 or 10 on MyLotto.

Combo 8 falls within MyLotto’s spending limits, so you can create a Combo 8 ticket on MyLotto.
